Step #1

Find out if you qualify for the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana program

Before you get started with the rest of the process, make sure that you qualify for the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program by reviewing a list of the “Serious Medical Conditions” that make you eligible to enroll.

Step #2

Create a profile on the PA medical marijuana patient registry.

It’s not complicated; you just need a valid PA driver’s license or state ID card. Visit medicalmarijuana.pa.gov (not on a mobile device) and find the registration form. Then enter your information into the site in ALL CAPS, exactly as it appears on your ID.

Step #3

Get certified at one of our office locations across Pennsylvania!

Get certified (888-399-0329) by a PA Green Medical certified physician at one of our locations across Pennsylvania - Erie, Harrisburg, and King of Prussia. TIP: Don’t use punctuation in your address, and don’t enter spaces in your ID number.

Step #4

Submit your patient ID number before your appointment.

When you create your profile on the state website in step 2, you’ll receive a patient ID number. This is the number we need in order to submit your information to the state and get you a medical marijuana card.

Step #6

Talk with our doctors the day of your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, our doctor will call you at the arranged time. You’ll discuss how medical marijuana can address your condition, and have a chance to ask any questions you have.

Step #7

Complete your registration online at medicalmarijuana.pa.gov.

Login to the patient portal using the ID and password you set up in step one. Then complete your registration and pay for your medical marijuana card ($50). You’ll receive your card in the mail from the PA Department of Health.

Step #8

Visit a dispensary to purchase medical marijuana products.

When you visit a dispensary always make sure to bring your valid state-issued ID and your medical marijuana card to the dispensary with you. TIP: On your first visit, leave a little extra time to consult with the dispensary staff.
